Rickshaw

A sweating rickshaw-driver with an imperialist on the backseat. A classical and grotesque comedy about the white man’s strive for being superior to the ‘uncivilized stranger’. It is black and white – and it is funny. It recalls attitudes of the past, but can this story really tell us anything today?

"Rickshaw" is a story about exploitation and change – a comedy with grave insights – which the audience can immediately relate to. It is performed in an international, physical theatre language that can readily be understood by everybody regardless of cultural background and native language
