In the warm summer sun two friends sit on a bench and exchange dreams. A third comes by. He would like to join in their company, but three on a bench is one too many, and he is turned away. He gets an idea, he will stir up some mischief. He returns in innumerale disguises to create a rift between the friends. The plan succeeds. The friends begin to cast all imagnable sorts of insults upon one another. It develops into a grotesque slapstick war directly before the eyes of the public.
A performance in the comic tradition, told in the universal physical language of the theatre - a language which is ageless and without geographical borders.

This little performance is a fine mixture of physical slapstick, mimickry, and a few, well-chosen lines. The three actors each draw their figures with a sure sense for detail, the story is both sweet and original, and the staging constantly calls forth the warm smile. We are in brief, very well entertained.

”Two is Company, Three is a Crowd,” is nearly without words, but full of surprises and hilarious slapstick. And there is offered a guarantee of sunny weather, which children and the child at heart enjoyed at the Copenhagen premiere Saturday.

Yes, Dansk Rakkerpak is really on the warpath. The men of violence, who end up splitting apart a bench and bombing each other to the heavens, are so appropriately boyish, moving in slow motion, that it is laughter rather than gravity, that reigns.

The inventiveness is great and the brutality gentle. The whole is clever and awakens laughter. It is a glad summer performance, that brings honor to all and could hardly be funnier. Big and small loudly enjoyed themselves at the preview in the town Hillerød yesterday. The performance is recommended from the heart.

The circle is completed. The same circus can begin again. All is lost and nothing won. But yet…. As audience to an outdoor performance we have for nearly an hour been very well entertained. With insanity, well done slapstick, and a story which behind all of it’s crazy packaging is certainly also worth a moment’s thought.
Kirsten Dahl, Børneteateravisen
The performance develops into a tour de force of slapstick and neck-breaking stunts performed on the street and bench, and ends in explosions, mortal violence and the public’s roaring laughter. At the risk of being upstaged by reality’s bench kings with their potent beer and their drunken dance in the street, Dansk Rakkerpak drives a roaring bang of a performance into position. The three actors’ performance extends over the edges of the street scene, and despite the cool spring winds, holds the public’s attention for a good hour with a performance on life’s harsh realities on a public bench in one of the world’s many city squares.
